February 19th – 25th

Alot has happened since last week! Last I wrote I was in Manila and on the 19th I took a short flight down south to Cebu city. I only stayed one night, 12 hrs. The fun part was I stayed at a capsule hotel so my room was the size of a twin bed and I had to climb a ladder to get to it! Honestly it was very cozy, not claustrophobic at all! The following morning I went down to the Pier and took the ferry to the island of Bohol. Luckily enough for me, the owner of the dive resort I was staying at was in the city so he gave me a ride back to the place.

As soon as I arrived I went snorkeling, there is a reef right off shore at the resort. It was breathtaking. Hundreds of ocean fish, bright blue starfish, coral, and everything under the sun. The following morning Jesse, the resort owner took me on a hike to some peaks overlooking the town and out to the ocean. It was breathtaking!! After 2 wonderful nights at Paseo del mar it was time to head to the town of Loboc, with the famous chocolate hills. I stayed 2 nights at Nuts Huts right next to the river and in the middle of the forest. Zero cell reception and 100 steps to get down to my cottage but absolutely gorgeous. I mastered the busses and went to the chocolate hills and they were beautiful! Even more stairs 😂

I was supposed to head down to Panglao for the next three days but its more of a nightlife town, which just isn’t my thing. So as of today I ended back up in Jagna at the dive resort. I love it here! There are 5 dogs, 6 cats and new friends so I have found my happy place. Now I get to just sit by the ocean, read and enjoy my hard earned vacation. In 3 days I take a ferry to another smaller island called Siquijor. Ill update again soon!
